What is this?
Gifts of the Glacier, The Story of Groton's Special Landscape, Prescott School Community Center, Main Street, Groton
Learn how the glaciers bestowed an amazing landscape and abundant biodiversity on Groton and how that has affected its human history. A one-hour presentation and discussion will be followed by a one-hour hike to see an area with remarkable glacial features. The hike will be about one and a half miles and will include some climbing and uneven ground. Members who are not able to attend both the presentation and hike can choose to attend either by itself. Presenter, Bob Pine, Groton Neighbor member and Director of Environmental Planning and Engineering, Pine and Swallow Environmental. Co-sponsored with Friends of Prescott.
